25 Short Hikes and Interesting Walks in Lake George, NY
The Lake George Region of upstate New York is one of the most
scenic areas that you ever find. It is the "gateway" to the
beautiful Adirondack Mountains. One of the highlights of living
here, or traveling here for a vacation, is a chance to spend
time on, in and around Lake George.
Called the "Queen of American Lakes",
it extends for 32 miles into an area that is rich in history, rich in
scenic beauty and rich in outdoor activities. Outdoor activities
are numerous throughout this region and include; golfing, boating,
fishing, biking, and, of course... hiking.
We enjoyed exploring the short hikes and nature trails in this
region. You will, too. From the scenic views on the top of
mountains, to enjoying the wildlife along streams and wetlands,
to finding hidden waterfalls, we thoroughly enjoyed hiking
each and every one of these trails.
Now you can, too. All
of these trails are short, interesting and "doable" (even
for small children, seniors and those who are not in the
best of shape). This book is part of the Common Man series
of hiking and biking books, which means that the "common
man or woman" can actually handle these hikes and walks.
More than 75 full color photographs add to the interactive
nature of this book. Its unique size and top spiral binding
will allow you to carry it in your back pocket for easy
reference on the trail. More than 100 pages of photos,
directions, special attractions and cautions are contained
in this trail guide.
